workshop with lean timms at lo scoglio byron bay

I have admired the work of photographer extraordinaire @leantimms for some time, and it was a dream of mine to attend one of her workshops. The opportunity finally came, spending two glorious days at the magnificent @loscoglio_byronbay, where every single detail is considered. The experience was so much more than I hoped for.

Lean is warm, generous with her knowledge of all things photography, and a natural teacher. I could listen to her talk and share stories of her travels & adventures for days.
I love the way that Lean embraces natural light to capture her stunning images, and it was a thrill to watch her in action.

Lean’s way of seeing the world around her resonates so deeply with me, and provides further validation that photography can be incredibly creative without a heavy reliance on the traditional, technical methods that I was taught.

Adding to the experience was the opportunity to observe, photograph and dine on the mouth-watering food prepared by @attiliomaiorano and his team from @conviviobyronbay.‍ ‍

My senses were completely overwhelmed and my days spent at Lo Scoglio will be front of mind for a long time to come.
